Bout of Books Read-a-Thon sign up post!

Bout of Books Read-a-Thon

This is my first ever Read-a-Thon and I am VERY excited to participate!
Since I have been in an amazing reading mood lately I though" why not participate!?" Now being a Toddler's mom is quite time consuming I am giving myself realistic goals. I will also do a daily post for updates and such!
Breaks are strictly for mine and my son's health and hygiene. So cooking, cleaning, showering. Also since we all need vitamin C and fresh air I shall take myself and my son out to the park, beach etc. everyday depending on the weather.

Non-reading Goals:
  1. Limited Facebook, non-read-a-thon twittering, Pinterest and other internet evils
  2. No Wavering on the reading list I will be putting together.
  3. NO DNFing! I am going to just push through.
Now for the reading goals I decided to read a minimum of 5 books with 2 extras should I finish early. My  own personal prize to myself if I succeed will be.... MORE BOOKS! (duh!)

Reading List!
  1. Die for me by Amy Plum (Started it last night at 11PM... is that cheating if I didn't know there was a read-a-thon?)
  2. Article 5 by Kristen Simmons
  3. Wildefire by Karsten Knight
  4. The Morganville Vampires VOL. 1 by Rachel Caine
  5. Torment by Lauren Kate
Now if I read all of those and still have time these 2 are next:
  1. Meridian by Amber Kizer
  2. Bumped by Megan McCafferty
HAPPY READING!

Random Reads (1) Blood Magic by Tessa Gratton

I decided To join Random Reads (hosted over at imlovingbooks.com because sometimes it's just fun not having to chose! This being my first time doing it I am very pleased with the choice random.org gave me!

I bought it a while ago and it's been begging me to get read. So here it is:

Summary from Goodreads:

It starts off simply.

Draw a circle... place a dead leaf in the center... sprinkle some salt... recite a little Latin... add a drop of blood...

Maybe that last part isn’t exactly simple. Yet somehow it feels right to Silla Kennicott. And nothing in her life has felt remotely right since her parents’ horrific deaths. She’s willing to do anything to uncover the truth about her family—even try a few spells from the mysterious book that arrived on her doorstep ... and spill some blood.

The book isn’t the only recent arrival in Silla’s life. There’s Nick Pardee, the new guy next door who may have seen Silla casting a spell. She’s not sure what he saw and is afraid to find out. But as they spend more time together, Silla realizes this may not be Nick’s first encounter with Blood Magic. Brought together by a combination of fate and chemistry, Silla and Nick can’t deny their attraction. And they can’t ignore the dark presence lurking nearby—waiting to reclaim the book and all its power.

So yep, this will be at least one of the books I will read that will count towards my Random Reads!

W...W...W... Wednesday

Good Wednesday Everyone!
Since I haven't done much research for WoW and found anything that would spar a fangirl reaction in me, I've decided to do this Meme instead. It's hosted at ShouldBeReading
So the questions are simple:

• What are you currently reading?
I am currently reading Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini and I am truly enjoying it! I was doubtful at first but it's the perfect pick for me at the moment!

• What did you recently finish reading?
Vampire Academy! I was amazed at the fact that the first 2 times I started it, I just ended up putting it aside. Big mistake. This book should have never waited to be read.

• What do you think you’ll read next?
Well that's where I always get stuck I am leaning towards Die For Me by Amy Plum, City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare, Blood Magic by Tessa Gratton and The Morganville Vampires Volume 1 by Rachel Caine! Maybe I should put it to a vote!

Take a minute and talk about...

Being Back Into Blogging!

Now that it doesn't feel like work and is once again truly enjoyable I find myself feeling whole again!!! Huzzah! Anyhow, aside for my brother having spilled pop on my laptop's keyboard (it is all sticky now), my son being a 2 year old terror and my blogger template being broken I am very happy to be back. I really missed it.
Now I have to find ways to be more productive, write better reviews (and I know that includes taking notes about my current reads.) and keep enjoying it.
Also, I decided That instead of a Personal blog, a TV/Movie Blog AND a PNR blog I would simply do a PNR and a personal one (this one will include TV and movie reviews and such). I do want to take part in Memes. I decided to do Stacking The Shelves (hosted by Tynga's Reviews) instead of IMM since I never receive books in the mail.
Please excuse me if this post is all over the place. I just really want to let you all know what the deal is!
If you have any advice, tips, words of encouragement etc. I would appreciate them all!

Now tell me, What are you reading today?
Happy Reading!

Top Ten Tuesday (6) The one with Penises, Flour and Love

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by  The Broke and The Bookish . At this link you can find all past and future TTT.
This is my first Top Ten Tuesday since November guys! YAY!! About this one however, being the kind of reader who gets entranced by what I read, I don't always remember my favorite quotes. So here are 10 memorable quotes. Not all YA and some are from the same book!
Enjoy!

1. “I don't know many rules to live by,' he'd said. 'But here's one. It's simple. Don't put anything unnecessary into yourself. No poisons or chemicals, no fumes or smoke or alcohol, no sharp objects, no inessential needles--drug or tattoo--and...no inessential penises either.'

'Inessential penises?' Karou had repeated, delighted with the phrase in spite of her grief. 'Is there any such thing as an essential one?'

'When an essential one comes along, you'll know,' he'd replied.”
― Laini TaylorDaughter of Smoke and Bone
I remember how much I laughed at this part of DoSaB. I think this is one that I will always love.

2. “Oh, Hell. Must. Mate. Immediately.”
― Laini TaylorDaughter of Smoke and Bone
What can I say. Laini Taylor is a genius!

3. “You nicked-named my daughter after the Lock Ness Monster!”
― Stephenie MeyerBreaking Dawn
All I have to say is: BAHAHAHAHA!

4. “Yes, and I’m sure the arena will be full of bags of flour for me to chuck at people.”
― Suzanne CollinsThe Hunger Games
Way to be snarky Peeta. Who doesn't love sarcasm in the light of a battle to the death?

5. “There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”
― Paulo CoelhoThe Alchemist
Not all memorable quotes are funny. So are wise words to live by.

6. “One is loved because one is loved. No reason is needed for loving.”
― Paulo CoelhoThe Alchemist
Now, this one became a personal motto of mine.

7. “I've been screaming for years and no one has ever heard me.”
― Tahereh MafiShatter Me
I have felt like this. A lot of Shatter me resonated through me.

8. “Find me a cure for these tears, I'd really like to exhale for the first time in my life.”
― Tahereh MafiShatter Me
See above

9. “I'll tell you something about true love. There's no science to it. It's as natural as the sky.”
― Lauren DeStefanoWither
True... Isn't it?

10. “If you were half as funny as you think you are, you'd be twice as funny as you are now.”
― Cassandra ClareCity of Bones
Now I liked this one because I actually tried to calculate funny. Made me think! Hahaha!

There, that's 10 of my favorite quotes! Link me yours in the comments section!

HAPPY READING!
